About MSUglobal

MSUglobal Learning Ventures (GLV) is an entrepreneurial academic unit reporting to the Provost that enhances Michigan State University's (MSU) role in enriching community, economic and family life in Michigan. It expands MSU’s national and international impact and generates new revenue for MSU’s colleges.

Led by Dr. Christine Geith, MSUglobal’s management team has experience in research, teaching, Wall Street analysis, business, internet startups, and online and adult education. Our comprehensive approach to planning, instructional development, and program administration results in a turnkey solution for partners seeking new revenue sources and enhanced visibility.

Have a great program but not enough time to advance it to the next level? Our comprehensive approach draws from the academic expertise across MSU, blends it with the content knowledge, process, and tools within GLV, and matches it with high-potential external partners to address a defined market need. The result: Really Cool Learning Solutions that are both innovative and revenue-generating.

Our Strategy and Advisory Experts provide the guidance for planning and marketing new online degrees and certificates, international dual-degree programs, and continuing education. As a relationship broker, we work with you to identify internal and external partners along with seed funding for moving ideas to reality. Our Product Suite Model enables us to work with a wide array of program partners whose interests span the learning spectrum from open educational resources to credit-bearing courses and research. This model also allows us to design solutions that target both broad and specialty markets.

Award-Winning Ventures
Working with MSU academic colleges, GLV creates business opportunities for custom-engineered learning solutions that best fulfill constituency needs for credentialing, learning, and information in MSU’s signature domains. MSUglobal leads the university’s development of transformative online continuing education such as the award-winning Horticulture Gardening Institute, Citizen Planner Online, My Horse University, and Learn2BeGlobal. MSUglobal combines credit and non-credit learning experiences using our product suite model.

In collaboration with Libraries, Computing & Technology (LCT) and others units, MSUglobal is creating and implementing a major new enrollment system for non-credit instruction.
